Shakira and Sanz together for kids

Shakira and Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz will take part in an upcoming forum about childhood in Latin America. The event, called "Kids in Latin America: a future without poverty. Creating equality trough early child development,” will take place on September 24 at Columbia University in New York. The Presidents of Argentina, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama and Paraguay will also be in attendance.

Shakira won’t sing about Islam

Shakira’s spokesperson has denied rumors the singer will record a song about Islam and Arabs with Arab-American singer Dania Yousse. Online reports claimed Shakira was writing the English lyrics for a new single and Egyptian composer Mohamed Saad was penning the Arabic portion of the song. However, the Colombian star’s publicist Diana Baron said the story is untrue. "This report is a total fabrication in every respect," she said.
